Mixed Bag

Liked: Location, 24 hour continental bar, dinning room
Disliked: Original room was unacceptable and we had to pay for an upgrade to get into a reasonable space. There are no windows in many of the rooms. Its just an opening to a nasty mechanical area and some rooms feel like they should have been left as closets. Room #133 as an example.

It was everything we wanted...

Liked: The location was wonderful and the buffet was available all day, not just breakfast. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Our room was small but we know that is typical in Europe and we made the most of the space. The salon area was like a musuem.
Disliked: The room was very small and we had to unlock our window and open it to see out.

Old World Grand, Great Location,...

Liked: The lofty ceiling in our room with big soundproof windows onto the Rambla. The very kind desk and room staff. The old-fashioned grandeur in the big dining-room. Comfy bed. Good coffee and beer and snack on the buffet.
Disliked: The buffet was a great deal, and well done. It did have a strongish smell sometimes in the first-floor hallways. Minor problem as it didn't get into our room.
