Liked: Perfect location, staff, breakfast, nice cats! Actually everything (those small disadvantages didn't change the whole stay) was amasing!
Disliked: Small room, but I guess that's normal in the center. Be aware of plenty of steps, also planes, that are flying right above, quite noisy sometimes.

Unexpected Delight

Liked: Absolutely charming - spotlessly clean and well maintained. We prefer small hotels and were limited in choice as we needed 3 beds. Exceeded our expectations. Lobby and breakfast areas with balcony were a big plus. Breakfast was lovely with many fresh choices.
Disliked: No elevator. Not that it was a problem for us, but there are a lot of stairs just to get to the lobby. We were on the third floor so 2 more flights! This is clearly stated on their website.

Liked: We were welcomed by kind receptionist. He took our bags to upstairs; otherwise we couldn't carry them over the steep and narrow stairs. It could be dangerous lifting them up ourselves. The staffs were friendly and we were satisfied with how they ran the hotel. We especially liked the 24 hours of coffee machine.
Disliked: The room was too small for a couple. It was 75 sqft or 7 sqm. For this room, we paid 1250 USD for five nights from Saturday to Thursday, paying 250 USD per night on average. Since this is a 3-star hotel, I think it is too expensive. So, the room was too expensive and too small for us (250 USD per night for the 7 sqm double room).

A family style hotel close...

Liked: Very friendly and helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The location is excellent, close to everything. And the price is very competitive, especially for the centre of Amsterdam.
Disliked: It cannot be changed, but travellers should be ready for the 3-4 flights of very steep stairs they must ascend upon entering. There is no elevator. One of the staff came rushing down to help with my bags when I arrived but you have to be healthy and fit to stay here. I enjoyed the exercise but I anticipate that some guests may have difficulty. The rooms are small and without amenities such as coffee and tea. But coffee was available in the lounge and I was not charged for the latte I requested.
