Great boutique hotel in very...

Liked: This was my second time staying at Hotel Clauzel, and was very happy to return as love the location on Rue des Martyrs, and am able to walk everywhere within central Paris from here. The room had been recently refurbished and although had just the basic amenities, was very comfortable and is great value for money. The staff are lovely and I was able to store my bags after checkout.
Disliked: The walls are very thin so you can hear the people in the room next door to you quite clearly

Disliked: We are family with 4 and 2 year old. They gave us a room on 6th floor. Where you have to take a lift 3 times to 5th floor and stairs to sixth floor. Most of the time life doesn’t work or someone’s holding the lift. We had to come down and up using very narrow stairway 6 floors with kids.Reception staff not helpful and they always say they can’t do anything. No welcome or explanation when we arrive to property. Lift only for 1 adult and a bag. Don’t take the breakfast not worth. Very poor experience !

Disliked: Towels quality was bad. One day we get them with holes. Breakfast- not so good. Just sweet pastries, and it was not good.

Liked: -location-friendly staff-luggage storage-plenty of shops around-small elevator-we could check in earlier as the room was ready-good water pressure, towels, soap-housekeeping everyday-little balcony on the fifth floor-little fan in the room as it was very hot-iron available at the reception-nice lobby to hang out-extra toilette at the lobby-we did not experience any noise from other rooms-the price was also ok for this time of the year and this location.Take the bus number 30 from the main street and get off at the Eiffel tower in 1 go! (40min)We did not take the breakfast as we wanted to eat at the local bakeries .
Disliked: Although outdated but the room could be a bit cleaner, specially the floor. There was also dust on every surface.The bed made a plastic sound when moving but it was ok and comfortable.A little fridge in the room would have been nice.
