A hidden gem in central...

Liked: The hotel is in a great location and has good value for the price. The staff is friendly and the room is newly renovated. In fact, renovations were ongoing during my stay (17 days). The hotel and room are very clean and tastefully furnished, albeit rather plain and monochromatic. The beds are comfortable. However, I am a solo, senior traveller, and had asked for a double bed. Instead, I got two singles, pushed together, with two separate mattress toppers and two single duvets. So I essentially had to sleep in one of two small single beds for 17 nights! Not ideal!The bathroom is nicely done with the latest gold coloured fixtures. The only comments there are that the sink is very small and there is very little shelf room for toiletries, creams, makeup, or a hairdryer. And I noticed no safety electrical outlet near the sink. I travel a lot throughout Europe, so these observations are important to me. Lastly, the floor tiles are in fact wall tiles, used on the floor, and get quite slippery when wet, especially in the shower. That's a hazard for seniors. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, based on cleanliness, location and price. Although it's right in the centre of Copenhagen, it's on a very quiet street. It's excellent value for the money!

Liked: Breakfast - the refurbishment of the hotel caused that breakfast was not available. Hotel is located in the heart of the city, easy access to restaurants and to shopping.

Liked: This hotel was really the best choice for visiting Copenaghen, they were actually under renovation but they told us very on time and they did their best to make us feel comfortable and replace all the services missing. The staff was really nice and helpful. The hotel was in the best position for visiting everything, 8 minutes walking from two metro stations and right behind the royal park and rosenborg castle!
Disliked: If I really have to find something to say the bed was really uncomfortable ma I think that we are just used to different types of beds, for the rest everything was perfect and I really recommend it!!

Lack of transparency and seriousness

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The fact that we had a reservation with this hotel and werent able to utilize it without a single prior notice! We had a 40min walk to the actual hotel where it was supposed to do the check-in, and in the hotel entrance we were confronted with a notice that "the hotel was closed and under renovation". The notice informed about a sister hotel and only provided the number while not stating the actual sister hotel. We were able to find the sister hotel through open sources and had another 25min walk! This is totally unnacceptable as the hotel had more than enough time to inform me as my whole trip was accordingly planned based on the location of the hotel I had booked!
