Liked: Booking was easy/ very nice rooms/ location was perfect/ parking seemed to be easy, but for entering again, a little troublesome/ due to a shortage of service staff, some of the younger ones seemed to be overworked/ kitchen staff tried their very best!

Liked: A well-appointed comfortable hotel only 5 minutes walk from the railway station, and adjacent to the opera house. Hotel restaurant recommended for a relaxing evening dinner with excellent food and local wines, some from the hotel's own vineyard. Free travel on local transport is included in the room rate. Excellent buffet breakfast where the cook comes out from the kitchen occasionally and wishes guests "Guten appetit". A very nice gesture.
Disliked: The hotel's wi-fi seemed to be prone to outages. I would have preferred the lighting in my room to be brighter. The room card contains the notice that a charge of €15 may be applied if the plastic room card is not returned at the end of the guest's stage - I have never seen this stated by a hotel before and it seems to be excessive and at variance with image of a quality establishment which the hotel like to portray. These niggles are minor, however, and I would not hesitate to stay at the Chemnitzer Hof again.
