We had a good experience....

Liked: The staff was excellent.
Disliked: We were in room 334 and thee air conditioner was very loud. So loud that we had to shut it of to be able to sleep. The Nespresss coffee maker worked well the first morning and after that we could not get the pods to fit. The coffee vending machine in the lobby was not clearly labeled so we were unable to use it. It asked one to select the number of the product desired. We could not find a selection number for coffee. Ultimately we had to go out for morning coffee.

Liked: The location is the only thing I can recommend.
Disliked: The evening front desk clerk seemed personally offended that I had booked online. He repeatedly argued that my reservation would not come through “for hours”. I had a confirmation and I asked him to please check. It was there and he acted as if he had not just made a big deal and argued about it. I had just had an excellent stay at the Hilton Quebec for a conference and decided to extended my trip by 1 day and stay at a lesser expensive option. The Hotel Chateau Laurier Quebec was very disappointing in customer service and room comfort. My room was stark, lacked warmth, looked at air conditioners, and with the cool white LED lights felt like a hospital room. The lobby was attractive with lovely art but dirty glasses and snack trash was on coffee tables and it didn’t seem as if anyone was tending to it. When you left the lobby to walk to your room, it felt like an annex building with a completely different look than the lobby. I’m sad to say this is not a 4 star hotel in service or comfort.
