Disliked: I was put into a back room first which was incredibly tiny and exposed to the rain when walking with my luggage.The night porter wasn't very helpful at first but did book me into another room.

Liked: The look of the exterior of the building . The location was reasonable. Parking near by. So clean and away from the traffic noise.
Disliked: Thin walls, you hear every knock and mumble in the next room,and room so small it was difficult to get dressed as there is only side stepping room around the bed. Nowhere to stop car to unload luggage, so bring wheeled suitcases rather than carry.

Liked: Clean and tidy.Relaxing.Comfy bed and pillows.
Disliked: No toilet brush in the bathroom.No blockout blind in the bathroom.

Great hotel for a weekend...

Liked: The hotel is immaculate with great tea/coffee in reception. Decor is very stylish, bed is very comfortable. Great transport from Kings Cross station to city centre, walking distance to bakery, supermarket, lovely shops and restaurants.
Disliked: Our room was very small, with us staying for a week there was no space for an open suitcase with no drawers to put our clothes. There was only a small rail with 5 hangers.

Liked: Ease of check in and friendliness of staff. Great location and accessibility to CBD.
Disliked: A folding suitcase rack would be useful.

Thoroughly enjoyed Hotel Challis for...

Liked: The grand heritage style, location and cleanliness.
Disliked: The shower could have been improved, not a fan of the shower curtain and open plan.

3 night business stay

Liked: I had a lovely stay at this beautiful boutique-style hotel. The location is excellent, with public transport, shops and restaurants easily accessible. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. If you’re looking for charm, comfort, and a prime location, this is a good choice.
Disliked: The only downside was the very small bathroom - the shower is essentially an extension of the toilet, and the basin is quite small with no surface space for toiletries. I will stay again, but will upgrade to a better room.
