Best hosts that we have...

Liked: The hosts Kevin and Sue were amazing and the extra staff were great too, even the dog, was an added bonus. They went over and above there expected rolls as hosts. We would stay there again when we return to Edinburgh. The breakfast were a welcome start to anyones day and variety great.
Disliked: Absolutely nothing!

Exceptional

Loved it

Liked: Only 15 mins away from centre of Edinburgh and reasonable and loads of buses! Lovely Turkish restaurant about a 10 minute walk from hotel which was lovely!Museum of Scotland was amazing and free so well worth a visit! We did the Fri ge fantastic but best was the military tattoo which was outstanding!
Disliked: It was very busy so only go in August if you want to visit the military tattoo and the fringe

Liked: Very friendly hosts. Easy to get to Edinburgh - 15 minute bus ride. Lovely breakfast with a lot of choices.

Everything was so wonderful! So...

Liked: We LOVE the host's hospitality! Kevin was an absolute gem! The place was the first stop on our honeymoon, and thanks to Kevin's hospitality, we felt it was the best start we could have ever had! We also loved how big the room and the bathroom were, and the lovely breakfast every morning! Simply blew our minds!
Disliked: It was one of the expensive places we've had on the honeymoon trip. However we did understand how expensive Edinburgh was so this is probably the most cost-effective place we could find.

A brilliant hotel

Liked: An excellent hotel. The staff were friendly and funny, yet very professional. The location was great - a short and easy bus ride into central Edinburgh and very near to Arthur’s Seat. All facilities you could possibly need on holiday were covered, including a laundry service and take-away breakfast for early morning starts if needed. The breakfasts were delicious - both cooked and continental- and were served very promptly. It was very quiet and we slept well. We were very impressed with Hotel Ceilidh-Donia and would definitely stay there again if we returned to Edinburgh.
