absolutely fabulous

Liked: kevin is an excellent and friendly host. Servedus a good coffee while our room was being cleaned on our early arrival so we could check in and freshen up. breakfast is excellent. Nice selection of whisky’s in the comfortable wee bar. The hotel is near the bus stop where regular busses will bring you to city central in approx 10 minutes. Arthur Seat is in walking distance so get ready for a niceclimb up the hill for great look out over Edinburgh

Amazing staff and breakfast

Liked: The staff is really kind and helpful. Furthermore, the breakfast is homemade and it’s tremendously delicious.
Disliked: You have to go upstairs through tiny steps because there is no lift.

Superb

Liked: Great location, helpful staff, nice clean room
Disliked: It didn't bother me so much since Kevin helped me with a bag that weighed a ton, but others might be daunted by the stairs.

Great spot to base yourself...

Liked: The Hotel owner/manager was extremely helpful and went beyond what could have been expected. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts were fantastic. Hotel is a short walk to Bus Stop and then only 5-6 stops to the Royal Mile. There is also a fantastic Golf Club (2025 Scottish Golf Club of the year) literally around the corner (100 metres) if you're keen on a game while in Edinburgh.
Disliked: If you have any mobility issues ask for a room downstairs as the staircase is long and pretty steep. (Not uncommon in our travels)

Pleasant stay

Liked: We enjoyed our three night stay here. The room and beds were comfortable, and breakfast was good, though my eggs were overdone.
Disliked: Stairs with our cases was quite a challenge, with no offer of assistance from staff. Otherwise the staff were very good.
