A clean, comfortable hotel near...

Liked: The room was very pleasant, it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was very conveniently situated near the heart of the city.
Disliked: The breakfast was mediocre. There was little choice of cereals and bread. When food containers were emptied they were not always replenished. There was little choice of tea blends and the water in teapots was tepid. Given the cost of the hotel, the breakfast should have been better. Coffee and tea facilities in the room would have been nice.

Best location for old town...

Liked: Located right beside the the main piazza of Bologna and a short Taxi ride from the train station. Professional and friendly team from the hotel, everyone we met was kind and helpful. Room was spacious and updated, a pity that the A/C wasn’t available during our stay and we couldn’t open the window was there happened to be a clover mites season going on. We were assured that the clover mites (tiny red spider like) were harmless and they are all over Bologna ( note before you come ) but we were hesitant, but they were quick to provide us with a good fan when we requested one. Breakfast was good with a decent spread and excellent coffee served by friendly staff too. Overall we had no problems with the mites except for a couple of bugs but it wasnt much, just a goose thing to know before coming to Bologna especially for people whom have extreme phobia. Bologna is a vibrant, safe and fun city to explore and dine.
Disliked: The mites that were blooming all over Bologna’s red roofs.

Great location and wonderful staff

Liked: Fabulous location and wonderful staff who were kind enough to let me practice Italian even when it took a little longer for me to communicate.

Nice hotel, great location, just...

Liked: Hotel was in a great location and felt very safe and close to the main attractions. The breakfast was awesome!
Disliked: AC didn’t work and room was a little too warm for sleeping.

Location and comfort

Liked: Beautiful refurbished palazzo with all the necessary modern-day commodities in the heart of bologna it's a 3 min walk away from piazza maggiore. The street is pedestrianised on weekends and public holidays. Rooms are extremely comfy and spacious
Disliked: We loved everything about hotel cavour .,
