Awesome location

Liked: Amazing facility right in the heart of old Mexico the building the culture everything at your door step highly recommend.
Disliked: No complaints

It was a good value...

Liked: It was clean and well run. It was in a great location. The staff were attentive, helpful, and professional. The rooms were modern and had nice accoutrements. Good shower. The 5th floor terrace bar was a beautiful view. 1:30pm checkout time was nice and relaxed.
Disliked: Nothing.

Exceptional

Mexico City Central Historic District...

Liked: The location of this hotel is fantastic, located immediately behind the church in the central square in the historic Zocalo district. You could not ask for a better location. As well, the hotel staff were very helpful, answering questions and arranging taxis, and the buffet staff were very helpful / attentive. Also the hotel is kept very clean. The buffet breakfast has a range of items, with some western selections, but mainly local food (I would rate the buffet as "Good"). The hotel is located on top of the ruins of an ancient pyramid, and has a glass floor in the lobby area where you can see the ruins, which is really amazing. The restaurant in the hotel provides a wide selection of food at a reasonable price and is open quite late. The one negative is that none of the staff speak english, which makes ordering a bit difficult if you don't speak spanish.
Disliked: The hotel has an old section and new tower. The rooms in the old section are fairly spacious, although some rooms need to have the bathrooms updated as they are very out of date. Also, the walls in the old section are thinner, so you can hear the noise next door if you have noisy neighbors. The rooms in the new tower are nice / modern, with very comfortable beds, however the bathroom is small, with the sink located outside the bathroom, in the bedroom area.

In General a good stay

Liked: LOCATION VERY GOOD
Disliked: The second time I was there I was given a room in a different area (old) and this one was kind of older that the one room given before (previous stay). It was cleaned only a little old an smaller.

Superb

Excellent city hotel!

Liked: Everything but most of all the location was excellent. Staff were helpful and professional- they willingly changed our room after a day. Breakfast was very good. Extra snacks and free water bottles were a nice touch.
Disliked: The Wi-Fi was weak and inconsistent.

Great except for perceived racism

Liked: Central location. Hotel facilities and rooftop terrace had a great vibe and view. There was a teachers protest with lots of tents outside, so I had to carry my suitcase a few streets down, but that was not the hotels' fault.
Disliked: Concierges came across as quite dismissive and judgemental but would improve in attitude when they realised I couldn't speak spanish. I assume they thought I was hispanic or central american as I am often mistaken for. If you are a solo woman who fits this description, I would not recommend this hotel. I faced this often in Buenos Aires, Argentina but this was the only place in CDMX that I experienced it again. All other staff, especially at the terrace, were great.
