Nice mexican style hotel with...

Liked: This hotel is a nice mid level mexican style property. We stayed in a large king room that had AC and Cable TV. It was very clean. The hotel has a restaurant but we did not eat there so I cannot comment. The best thing about it is the location, it is within 2 minute walk of the Robert Brady museum and 5 min from the cathedral, which itself is surrounded by restaurants, cafes and bars.
Disliked: The only think i would mention is the wifi signal on that side of the building was almost non existant.

Exceptional

Liked: It was gorgeous. Breakfast was in front of a deep blue swimming pool surrounded by foliage. It is less than two blocks from the Cathedral, a botanical garden and many restaurants.
Disliked: There was a locking gate at the door that staff needed to open. That was a problem for one of us who is a smoker. Also, we wondered how one could escape in case of fire.

The hotel setting merits the...

Liked: The hotel building is stunning, some of the rooms are huge and with good colonial furniture. The garden is well tended and the terrace a beautiful place to read or just rest. The personnel's attention excellent.
Disliked: None or poor Wi-Fi in the rooms (still!) and the light bulbs are really horrible: white kitchen light in the rooms. They make you sign a document that ensures that you won't damage or steal the property. And there is no restaurant service (only breakfasts). So if you don't want to walk (or can't, as in my case) or drive, you are forced to wander by night in an empty and unsafe street in downtown Cuernavaca. It gives the shivers to ring to have the gated door opened by night.

Amazing location and charming historical...

Liked: The charm and beauty of a historical location was amazing. We loved our room, the presidential suite, which includes a sauna and was very spacious.
Disliked: In December, definitely felt cold at night. We had a fireplace in our room. Initially the man who showed us to our room said it could be lit upon request. When we asked in the second night we were told it was unsafe to do so due to carbon dioxide emissions. We had a thin quilt on our bed which frankly felt insufficient. I’m guessing December is one of the coolest months so would likely not be an issue majority of the time.
