Comfortable and friendly

Liked: The staff let us check-in early as there was a room available. We'd just completed a 14 hour flight from Australia. This really helped us. Generally, the staff were very polite and friendly, which is always a plus. The location was excellent. Beds comfortable. Self parking was very easy with 2 parking lots within a minute walk of the hotel. There are plenty of food options within walking distance.
Disliked: We knew it would be noisy on the streets below, and it was noisy. We packed ear plugs and had to use them most nights. No surprises there we understood what we were in for. The rooms are quite small for a family of 4. But we managed. The hotel itself is a bit dated and could do with a face lift. Not a big deal.

Clean and fresh, in a...

Liked: Very clean and fresh room! Great beds and nice furniture overall. Clean bathroom, and nice staff everyone we met.
Disliked: Didn't like the motion detector ceiling light that was not possible to turn off. When going to the bathroom at night you will awake the other(s) in the room.Some noise from cars and passers-by in the street, but kind of what is expected in a hotel as central as this.We received some 10-15 messages via the booking.com app during May and June, saying we had to follow a link and state our card details within 6 hours or the booking would be cancelled - annoying and this should be fixed.

Liked: Location was very convenient
Disliked: Shutters needed repair, had to call housekeeping to lower them because one of the strings were broken. Body soap and body lotion bottles and kleenex were almost empty, those should have replenished before check in for one week stay guests. Had to request a small refrigerator upon check in, wasn’t guaranteed. Luckily we were able to get one.
