Marvelous!

Liked: Marvelous location! Stunning sunny corner room with view of the plaza and Cathedral. (But also steel shutters if you want to sleep in.) Spotlessly clean. Lovely, reasonably priced breakfast in a very stylish, cozy breakfast room. (Note that this is an onsite, hands-on owner operated business, so there is a very personal feel, but you may need to call the number posted on the front door to be admitted. The owner made us feel like honored houseguests.) I will be back

Location was great and room...

Liked: Location and view of Notre Dame
Disliked: Breakfast was “sufficient “Hostess not very friendly but I think it was the language barrier perhapsThere were large dead plants and deteriorating containers on both sides of balcony which you pay extra for.,…. Really distracts from the wonderful view.

Exceptional

Liked: The central location in the old town was super convient and our balcony looked out directly onto Rouen's Notre Dame cathedral and the plaza. The room was quiet, comfortable and clean, and the bath well supplied with plenty of hot water and towels. The host was lovely and accommodating.

Excellent option for a short...

Liked: Boutique hotel located very centrally. Cute rooms, though basic but very clean, amazing view. Nice cafe is located right downstairs. Excellent option to stay for a short trip.
Disliked: Everything was great!

Very good small hotel.

Liked: This is a small hotel in an excellent location. My family had the two rooms on the top floor. The views were excellent. The rooms weren't fancy but they were very clean, recently renovated and comfortable. In fact the mattresses were very good and the rooms very quiet so we slept well. It didn't have the trappings of an expensive hotel, like room service or a concierge but we didn't need those services - we wanted a clean, comfortable hotel in a good location and that is what we got with Hotel Cardinal.
