Liked: proximity of the train station. It was clean.
Disliked: Very small room. The room was very noisy due to a ventilation noise inside, although there were no real ventilation in the room. We could not open the window because of frying smell outside coming from the surrounding restaurants. The bathroom was minimal with somewhere a wooden board instead of tiles. This room is not worth the 84.60 euros paid for two persons.

Comfortable hotel, compact room with...

Liked: The hotel's location was good (we had looked for a hotel within a short distance of Lille Europe Station). We had a fair sized room with all the facilities we needed and a comfortable bed. We enjoyed the breakfast and finding gluten-free food there was easy.
Disliked: There was no view; our room looked out into an internal light-well.The blow-air ventilation made a noise, which kept me awake much of the night. I couldn't find how to switch it off

Liked: The spot was great. It was just near the station and small distance walking to vieux-lille. People were very kind.
Disliked: Poor breakfast. They always forgot to leave something at the room. A towel, a sheet. But brought them quickly when asked.

Practical

Liked: Very close to the train station is a bonus. The personnel is friendly and you can tell, they went through great lengths to make an old house quirky and modern. But it still shows it's rough corners. The room was clean and the bed was good. But the hallways or banisters were quite dusty.
