Hotel Buena Vista - San Luis Obispo

We will definitely stay here again next year for the same event. We may even plan a trip to Hearst Castle and stay here if we do. Thank you for everything.

Liked: The jacuzzi was the perfect temperature. The room was well appointed. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The grounds were well kept. The breakfast was quite well laid out and had a good variety for all appetites.
Disliked: We could have used another mirror in the room. There was a perfect spot in the dressing area, above the shelf that was adjacent to the refrigerator and coffee. The only thing the breakfast lacked, for me, was yogurt.

Very avarage motel, not a...

Liked: Everything was average. Location was good if you’re going with a car, 10-15 minutes from downtown. Cleaning was just ok, nothing exceptional. Mattress and carpet were very old. The building is in a bad shape overall.
Disliked: We had a very unfortunate situation that took a while to be resolved. We had a big leaking in our bathroom and the sewage was returning in our bathroom sink. This took place at 11pm and we had staff coming in and out from our room for a long time, but not resolving the situation. We slept with a 5 months old baby in an exposed sewage environment and they only placed us in a new room in the next afternoon. The motel needs a complete restoration.

Disliked: The shower was very low

Liked: Friendly staff, spacious bedroom and bathroom, easy to park and free coffee and snacks by the reception.
Disliked: I didn’t really see the need for the $100 deposit but it was returned promptly.
