Parking Nightmare and poor bathroom...

Liked: The location to the city centre was good. The restaurant served good food and reasonably priced for a hotel. The room was comfortable including the bed, although the decor was dark and quirky. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: The shower floor was grubby. We advised staff who said they would speak to housekeeping. They did clean it but not very well. We gave up asking again. The toilet seat came off its spindles every time you lifted the lid. We again raised this with the front desk. The seat was refitted while we were out but came of its spindles as soon as we tried to use it again. We gave up with this as well but mentioned it again when we checked out.The main issue was the parking. We asked in our search for a hotel with parking and on the main features of the hotel it advertised the hotel has parking. Two days before our arrival I rang the hotel to ask what the arrangements for parking were as they had not sent me any instructions. I was then informed the Hotel did not have parking but provided a 25% discount code for parking at a nearby car park. They were also unable to book this for me. The car park was full. I rang back again and then was told there was another car park that the discount code worked for. Why wasn’t I told this originally? This car park was also full. I then had to trawl the web to find a car park which ended up being 20mins walk away. The hotels parking facilities were mis- advertised which lead us to believe there was car parking on site. Also they did not provide us with instructions concerning their parking partnership and that I would have to book it myself. As there was no parking available they failed to provide parking!
