A super nights sleep in...

Liked: The hotel is ideally located next to China town and canal street. Shops nearby. The rooms are modern and luxurious. Beds are the best I’ve slept in
Disliked: Breakfast could have been included for the price, no parking and recommended car park is £35 for 24 hours

Great location, great hotel and...

Liked: Excellent facilities, modern decor, friendly staff and good location.
Disliked: There was some confusion surrounding car parking despite me ringing before visiting to confirm that I would receive 25% discount at their recommended car park. Unfortunately when I arrived I was informed that this was not the case and that I should have been informed that I needed to book the car parking place in advance to qualify for the discount. The staff were friendly and helpful at reception but feel that I should have been told the correct information when I rang earlier that morning and as a result I had to pay the full price for car parking which at £35 for a single night I thought was expensive.

Nice stay, but more care...

Liked: The design of the hotel is modern, and is very appealing. The staff were very helpful both at bag drop off and check in. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we had a very good nights sleep in there.
Disliked: I got the impression by the card holding (£1) the hotel took on arrival for damage to the property, the rooms would be to the same high standard as the communal areas. Unfortunately, that was not the case for our room (417). It appears that any money taken for damage caused was not put towards the repairs. The damage was such that if it was a budget hotel, I would not have minded (that much). However given what Voco is trying to be, and the portrayal that they cared about the quality of rooms, I was disappointed. (I did not take the images attached for reviewing purposes, but more to cover my back if any damage was claimed by the hotel on our check-out - it was really that emphasised re payment for damage!)Also be mindful that there is a 24hr Casino attached to Voco, and we found that when we went to bed it was blaring music and the beat felt prominent in the room. We were able to sleep through it as we were knackered, but acknowledge this may cause others some issues.
