Liked: They have renovated the rooms, thus the rooms are now bright and nice, and the beds are really good.Breakfast is one of the best - remaining - things at this hotel. This is also due to some of the more mature waiters/ladies working at the breakfast. They are always welcoming and smiling.
Disliked: They have established a new restaurant "The Scirocco". We ate lunch there the first day. It was not a good experience. The food was not very good, and prices were in top.The staff seened unengaged and indifferent. I have eaten at the hotel restaurant several times before "Scirocco" took over, and it was way better than now, so was service. A hotel like this should not have a mediocre restaurant like the Scirocco. It lowers the general standard of the hotel. The outside terrasse was also nicer before. It was mre fenced, and the tables had white cloths. Now the tables are unclothed, and the staffe didn't even bother to celan the tables, several of them were filthy. I have stayed at the hotel several times, and this has been due to the general atmosphere of "an old world hotel". They used to have an nice pianobar as well, this is also closed. They still have the nice pool in the cellar, but this time it was unmanned. In general, it seems like everything has been cut back a bit, and it affects the general experience at the hotel in a slightly negative way. A said The rooms are nice, and the beds are good, but the former atmosphere at the hotel seems to have vanished, and that is a big drawback.Next time in Berlin I will be staying at the Savoy (when it reopens) or at the "Henri" in Meinekestrasse

Disliked: we stay at this hotel regularly, but unfortunately the level is going down. there were unpleasant mistakes with the reservation at the reception. the hotel restaurant has been rented out to an operator who is no longer able to serve customers on weekends
