Good hotel, nice breakfast but...

Liked: New facilities, friendly staffs, the breakfast is fine. Very quiet neighborhood. Spacious shower cabin.
Disliked: They don’t turn on AC during spring and the room was super hot. We have to let window wide opened whole night. Same with bathroom, no air vendor.

The worst 4* hotel I’ve...

Liked: The breakfast is good although repetitive and quite a few times things aren’t replaced/topped up on time (waited 20 minutes for breakfast one morning before leaving as food wasn’t replenished) It is buffet - a mixture of hot (bacon, pancakes, eggs, beans) and cold (pastries, fruits, yoghurt). The rooms were clean
Disliked: The noise insulation is poor - can hear every footstep, doors banging and conversation; really disrupted my sleep and almost ruined my trip. Rooms are very small. Staff are rude and dismissive. They lied about there being no other room for me to move to as my room was opposite a staff only area that kept having people go in and out. I was later offered an even worse room which I turned down. The temperature control in the room wasn’t working, staff insisted a window was open (it wasn’t), they sent someone to check I knew how to close a window before changing the settings so the temperature control could work. Prior to that their plain was that I sleep with the window open, call them if I get woken up by the cold… (rather than just changing the room). Location isn’t great - on a highway with bus stops near by but they are really sporadic into and out of Bologna. Not ideal for solo travellers relying on public transport as the roads from the bus stops are desolate. Breakfast was good when it was there but items often ran out and were slow to be replenished, if at all. It was a 4 star hotel that felt like a 2 star hotel. The only plus is that the rooms, though small and poorly insulated, were clean but massively overpriced for what it was. I cut my stay short and went to stay at Mitico Hotel which is a few minutes away but almost half the price, rooms are bigger, staff were nicer, spa & massage available, free mini bar and the 25 bus stops right in front of it. (It is further out from Bologna but totally worth it for the price and actual 4 star amenities) I outlined the issues on my second day, they issued an insincere apology and changed nothing. I booked an alternative hotel & my only regret from my trip to Bologna was staying at this hotel due to the lack of sleep.

Liked: Breakfast was very good although the room was packed. The room was very clean, spacious and quiet. Location is 15 minutes by car to the centre which costs about €20 for 4 people.
