Amazing breakfast and superfriendly staff!

Liked: What an amazing hotel!We booked it kind of last minute to a very good price and didn't expect much - but boy!Amazing breakfast with a chef making the eggs just the way you like.Really, really friendly and competent staff.Simple furniture.Great location in one of our favorite parts of town (well I'm not sure how many agree to that.. ;-) )
Disliked: Well our neighbours slammed the doors a lot during the night, so softer-closing doors might help?

Booking.com made my whole experience...

Liked: The breakfast was REALLY nice and the cook was perfect and very polite and friendly.He really makes you fee at home.God job !
Disliked: I did not like the fact that Booking.com did not convey the info , which it gives us as a choice, to the hotel.I selected that I wanted a room on higher floors, but Booking did not pass that info to the Hotel, so I got the ground floor.Even after calling booking.com (on a UK number) at my expense, I still got hung up for over 30mins with no feedback at all until the hotel was fully booked with no more available roomsHad I known they nonger have rooms on higher floors, I could opted for another room or even hotel choice

Generally the stay was great...

Liked: The breakfast was superb, we liked everything about it. The food was great and the staff was very warm. The location of the hotel is also great, very quiet and easily accessible even when using public transport.
Disliked: There was a lingering smell of cigarettes in the room which was very unpleasant for us, especially considering we are non-smokers and we had little kids with us. I suggest that the hotel strictly monitors and enforces it's non-smoking policy, and should at least freshen up the rooms when indoor smoking incidents occur.
