Barton, Washington DC, visiting Beacon Theatre
Overall, it was a nice place but one that seemed to be justifying its rates based on location and little else. I'd stay there again but not before looking at other options in the area first.
Liked: The location couldn't be beat!
Disliked: Wifi was down the entire weekend. Not a big deal except when you're paying $330 a night.

Beautiful hotel, Perfect location, Great...
Liked: Beautiful well maintained and aesthetically pleasing hotel situated in the perfect location. Friendly welcoming neighborhood with easy access to the subway and Central Park.Good sized room with a very comfortable bed. Very clean and tidy. The door staff were brilliant, extremely pleasant and knowledgeable they always had a smile and were very welcoming :)The hotel is fabulous and we would highly recommend staying. We would return to the BelleClaire in a heartbeat but would look at an alternative room.
Disliked: We’re not aware that the restaurant had permanently closed until we arrived. As it was quite late in the evening there was limited options to obtain a drink. We were not aware that the room we reserved could be used as a connecting room. Unfortunately you could hear the guests conversations and their use of the restroom in the connecting room next door. We were mindful of our conversations whilst in the room. There is also a good size gap between the main door and door frame which let quite a bit of light in during the night.Upon check out we were informed that tea:coffee making facilities are available if we would have asked, it would have been more beneficial to have been offered this upon arrival. The voucher for the cafe/restaurant is a great concept however as the restaurant was closed it could only be used for the cafe. The cafe is a popular asset to the hotel but it wasn’t something we utilized every day and preferred a more healthier option.

Would stay here again ....
Liked: Friendly staff, lobby smells amazing, very beautiful hotel. Ambiance of street is very calm and nice . Non touristy things are close by, as well as Central Park , of course .
Disliked: A little far from other places we would visit frequently, like little Italy .

I would definitely go back...
Liked: Location was great (I lived in the Upper West Side in the past, so it was the perfect location for me). The hotel is cool on the inside and has a good gym. The gave us an early check in, which was very appreciated after a long flight with a toddler. Breakfast was good, we got vouchers to use at the French coffee place next door (they could offer some fruits though).
Disliked: The room was small, but that was expected from a hotel in NYC.

Great Location and Service –...
Liked: Location:The location is absolutely perfect – close to major attractions, with easy access to public transportation. It’s within walking distance to Central Park, great restaurants, and local shops. This saved us time and made exploring the city so convenient.Service:The staff was friendly, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Every request was handled quickly, whether it was early check-in, luggage storage, or local recommendations. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay.Value for Money:Compared to other hotels in the area, Hotel Belleclaire offers excellent value. The rooms are clean and comfortable, service is top-notch, and the overall experience was more than worth the price. We truly felt we got more than we paid for.Overall:We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the service and location, but with a few small improvements, it could be much better. We would consider staying again if these issues were addressed.
Disliked: No in-room fridge: There’s no refrigerator in the room unless you pay an additional $30 per day, which felt excessive and inconvenient for a family stay.Shower experience: The showerhead was not very user-friendly. The water pressure was quite low, and while it offers two settings, adjusting it was difficult and limited in direction.

Beautiful, clean, and friendly hotel...
Liked: If you want to stay on the upper west side, the location cannot be beat. It’s super close to a subway for quick access anywhere in NYC. I also loved the beautiful historic nature of the hotel. The rooms were nicely appointed and were very clean and comfortable. Although it was built in 1903 it had all the modern amenities you would need. The Staff was also very accommodating with a couple of our special requests. It’s also super convenient that they are next-door to a delicious French bakery. We had the breakfast included package where we received a $10 credit per person per day at the bakery.
Disliked: My only comment is I could not find an outlet in the bathroom. The hotel was built in 1903 so possibly that’s why and if it was there I just couldn’t find it and neither could my daughter. But it was a small small issue compared to how wonderful our stay was.

Liked: Location was nice, staff was friendly
Disliked: There was a big cockroach in the room we check in. I requested a new room, and they changed. We did not have this problem in the new room.
