A favorite place to stay...

Liked: Love the location. It was quiet and convenient. We also really enjoyed the comfortable sitting area in our room. This was our third time at the hotel and still one of our favorite places. Really enjoy the breakfast selection and the room.
Disliked: It would be nice to have an espresso machine in the breakfast room.

Quite room, nice location, freindly...

Liked: Staff was kind and accommodating. Breakfast was nice, with many different varieties. Breakfast staff very accommodating to requests and remembered our orders. The terrace overlooking the back courtyard was relaxing, even in the rain with the awning. Room was plenty large for all four of us. Nice quite area, close to public transportation (bus or train), and only a few stops for most tourist activities. Lift was pleasant in such a building. Shower had plenty of pressure.
Disliked: Description on booking.com mentioned laundry services in description. Their isnt an on-site laundry facility. If you have a few garments, they will try to accommodate, otherwise, there are cleaners nearby, not a big deal, just misleading. While the room was amazing, unfortunately the air-conditioner couldn't keep up and it was hot and muggy in the room for our 5 night stay. Their are very effective blackout blinds that helped keep the heat of the day out. Staff was kind to help manage, but the room was humid which made sleeping difficult, understand this isnt the norm, reception area and other rooms were cool, and dry.

A gem of a hotel...

Liked: After an extensive day of traveling, this hotel was a wonderful place of peace to land at. The staff were so accommodating and understanding and a great introduction to Germany. As others have mentioned - the location is ideal for getting to public transport, the botanical garden, cafes and other restaurants. We had two rooms and both were very spacious and the shower had amazing pressure and heat. So glad we decided to stay here on our short layover!
