Nice three star hotel near...
Liked: Great location near the Naschmarkt and most of Vienna is within 15 minutes walking.
Disliked: We were on the fifth floor and while it was cool outside in April, the room was very warm. It did have an AC controller, but it never worked properly and no cool air ever came out. Thankfully the windows open up and cooled the room nicely.

Lovely stay in an excellent...
Liked: Reception staff gave us a warm welcome, explaining arrangements in the hotel for free tee, coffee and cake in the afternoons, for a live music evening in the bar and a free classical music concert on Sunday afternoon etc. We were not shown our room but it was easy to find. The room was a reasonable size, quite clean and had a comfortable bed. Heating was good, even when the outside temperature was sub zero. The room was pretty quiet at night. We enjoyed the live music in the bar and the cocktails were good. The recital on Sunday was excellent, a cellist and a pianist playing classical pieces. Free wine was provided in the interval. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The omelettes made to order were good. The location of the hotel is excellent. Tram, bus and subway stops are all close by so it is easy to get to any part of the city. We walked to the city centre in about 20 minutes, but we could also have taken public transport. The Schonbrunn Palace is about 6 stops on the subway. A friendly receptionist (and they were all friendly and helpful) sorted us out with a Vienna Transport pass. This was an excellent way to use public transport which, by the way, was clean, frequent and efficient. There is a lot to see in Vienna - art, history, museums, great architecture etc. We booked the big attractions on line to skip the queues. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the Hotel.
Disliked: The bathroom had the old fashioned "shower in the bath" format and there was no rail to help older folks like us to get in or out. I think the rooms could do with a refurbishment, and when this happens perhaps they will modernise the bathrooms?

A very good option if...
Liked: We stayed in the small room for single night. Everything was nice, clean, good shower with air-conditioning(!) although it was not required. Close to the market and 5 minutes walk from Mariahilfestrasse.
Disliked: The beds were soft and a bit uncomfortable.
