Hotel Bastille

Great Location- Easy Metro Access

Liked: The location was great, very close to Metro, making it easy to get around, close to the Bastille markets & many restaurants and major shopping street the location is ideal, we booked a balcony room which looked across the rooftops of Paris that was very special, the staff are welcoming and kind. Great airconditioning & comfy bed. The room isn’t large but we moved a few things around to make everything fit. Yes the lift stops about 5-6 steps up to your room, but hardly an issue given the age of the building, be thankful there is a lift, my husband managed to take a large suitcase & a medium suitcase & himself up to our floor 5th floor. We would stay there again but in the same room type on the 5th floor with the balcony.
Disliked: Would be great if the had a refrigerator & safe. We were there for 4 nights, but only really noticed the noise on the Saturday night, I expect that was due to being on the 5th floor. I think the main issue is all the food delivery drivers congregating waiting for delivery orders and speaking very loudly amongst themselves, which would be more auditable on the lower levels. Unfortunately there is nothing the hotel can do about that, as this is where the designated area is for the motorbike/moped parking.

Was ok for 1-2 nights,...

Liked: Location is central, but the street is not so nice. But very close to lots of shops, restaurants and the Bastille metro stations. Staff very nice and welcoming. Easy and fast check in. 24h reception, could leave my bags at the reception for free until evening after check out. Comfortable bed.
Disliked: There were no towels available - only a floor mat, so better to prepare and take your own towels. Bathroom not very clean. Very thin walls and room cleaning starts around 9 am - a lot of noise and not possible to sleep in. Minor inconveniences, but this could be easily improved.

Liked: The staff at the reception are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel location is very convenient. The rooms are adequately spacious and newly renovated.
Disliked: The hotel is located on a busy street and there are always many people around, it can be quite noisy.

Liked: The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful Rooms are spacious enough and the location.is excellent.
Disliked: Thé hotel is a bit small. The sign at the entrance is easy to miss.
