Hotel Bastille

Good

Liked: Very comfy bed, overall clean room. No bedbugs. Sparkling clean sheets.Super easy to get anywhere in Paris. Metro is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Dozens of restaurants and cafes around the hotel (same street and the streets around) with lots of cuisine options. A pretty big supermarket is right across the road.
Disliked: The room was very small but that's normal for Parisian hotels. My window for looking into the "well" (you basically see opposite walls and pipes)Funny tiny elevator for 1 person with a medium sized suitcase maximum. Also the elevator stops in between the floors so you still need to carry your bags upstairs.

Liked: Room was clean and comfortable with good air conditioning
Disliked: I got very little sleep because of the noise in the street which went on all night. Even with the windows shut it didn’t help

A nice hotel away from...

Liked: The location of the hotel was just a few steps from the Metro. There were several cafes in the surrounding area. Shopping was just around the corner. For being in a foreign country and a not a chain hotel, it was very clean.
Disliked: The elevator was very small, only enough room for 1 person.

Two nights hotel maximum, nothing...

Liked: The location is very central, right next to Bastille and close to everything.
Disliked: However, as central as it is, it is noisy. For those who want a quiet night's sleep, this is not for them. The hotel room was very small and dusty. Despite being cleaned every day, there was a few centimeters of dust under the bed. It was hard to breathe with the windows closed. The linens were also of low quality. The water in the bathroom did not drain and one of the cabin doors was damaged. The elevator is so narrow that even carrying large luggage is a challenge. The reception indicated as 24 hours, but we had to knock on the door several times to get the door opened. Finally, we entered the hotel, but it is inconvenient when the hotel has neither a bell nor a chip to enter. This hotel is overpriced for the current conditions and at this price, I think there may be better options. However, according to my valuable experience, I can say that this is the careless nature of the French. They don't care what tourist/visitor gets, they just thinking about the money.

Liked: The choices available for breakfast were very good. The location is convenient for the Gate de Lyon. It is also close to the Metro.
