Good for one night

Liked: Very helpful staff who wanted to share their knowledge of the city, great the reception was open 24 hours. The room was clean and accessible via a lift. Decor in the common areas of the hotel were good. Our room faced in the interior so was quiet even on a Saturday night. 15 min Walk to train station, 10 min walk to Grand Place
Disliked: Room was small and very bare, no night stand, bedside lights didn't work and bathroom was very small. Smell of cleaning products was overpowering when we arrived, so left the window open for a few hours. Also when we arrived we didn't have a shower curtain, but after coming back in the afternoon one had been fitted.

Good

Liked: The location was in walking distance of the main square. The staff were welcoming and the room was available at 11:00 a.m. I knew the single rooms were small as there were pictures in other reviews, but the bed was so narrow that I thought I would would roll off. The mattress was soft with a deep depression and it actually gave me a backache. The window did not look out into a courtyard but into an air shaft with some mechanical thing blowing and making noise so it was better to keep the window shut. The sink was directly in front of the toilet so you had to squeeze by to get into the space. I was able to peek into a couple of the double rooms that were being cleaned and they really looked quite nice so I don't want this review to reflect badly on all the rooms. But solos should really consider upgrading to a double bed in my opinion.
