Why Concert-goers love it

Concert-goers love Hotel Bardo Savannah for its unbeatable location—just a 5-minute walk to Monterey Square and within easy reach of some of Savannah’s most popular live music venues. Late-night returns are stress-free thanks to the 24-hour front desk and flexible vibes. Though it's close to the action, the hotel offers a surprisingly quiet and peaceful atmosphere—perfect for post-show recovery. With check-in starting at 4:00 p.m. and check-out at 11:00 a.m., there’s time to sleep in or squeeze in one more stroll through the city.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a stylish, central base
  • Solo travelers catching a bucket-list artist
  • Couples turning a concert into a romantic weekend
  • Fans who crave peace after the encore
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want upscale value

Food and Drink Options

Start your day with a continental or à la carte breakfast—perfect if you were out late the night before. The on-site restaurant serves up elevated fare, and with 24-hour room service available, you’ll never go hungry after a show. Plus, being downtown means you’re walking distance to tons of local eateries for pre- or post-concert bites.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself doesn’t boast an on-site music venue, you’re minutes away from some of Savannah’s best bars, clubs, and lounges. Prefer something low-key? The hotel’s own garden and lounge areas offer a classy spot to sip a craft cocktail and unwind under the stars.

What People Say

Guests consistently rave about the gorgeous design, friendly staff, and peaceful ambiance despite being so close to the city’s vibrant nightlife. The bikes are a hit for exploring, and many note the hotel’s clean, spacious rooms and excellent location for walking to both cultural spots and concert venues.

Areas for Improvement

While most guests love the upscale vibe, some mention that parking is a bit pricey, and onsite dining can be on the higher end. But with Savannah’s culinary scene just steps away, most don’t mind venturing out for meals.

The Bottom Line

If you’re after a stylish, quiet escape just minutes from Savannah’s concert action, Hotel Bardo Savannah hits all the right notes.

Stylish and chic on the...

Liked: Stylish, chic and for us the location. We were able to lounge poolside when we were not exploring. And enjoyed our room when the monsoon came down upon us. Lottie, the teenage ghost that haunts the hotel messed with our electric outlets and lights, but had a nice little conversation or rather a plea for her to stop and she did. Be kind to her and she will be kind to you.
Disliked: The refrigerator in the rooms too full of product. We purchased some items from farmers market and needed to get creative with rearranging. One instance when they thought someone went to get our car but realized about 20 minutes later no one had. Do not get room service: one carrot and a swipe of hummus. I love the look of the hotel but not sure the service is up to par for the price of the hotel. The pool is for both members and hotel guests, we were witness to a couple confrontations. Get there early to get a chair.

Beautiful setting, but disappointing stay

Liked: Beautiful building and decor with lots of character. Lovely location beside Forsyth Park (really enjoyed walking over to the farmers market on Saturday morning). Staff were sweet and attentive.
Disliked: Do not stay on the first floor! We stayed in room 103, probably one of the worst rooms in the hotel (confirmed bay one of the bellmen, who said when we mentioned it, “Yeah, they should close those rooms and use them for something else”), which told me they knew they were giving us a horrible room when we checked in. Got all the elevator and lobby/bar noise, plus the adjoining room doors have no soundproofing so it sounded like the people in room 104 were in our room. We gave feedback and they did provide a room credit (which they actually entered as a charge, and thankfully the person checking us out caught it and corrected it!). A long walk (or short Lyft) to sights of interest. Unless you get a good room and plan on the hotel as a destination location, it is not worth the cost.

Perfect spot for a weekend...

Liked: The location and facilities are wonderful- the pool area in particular. The room decor is beautiful, and all the amenities exactly what we needed for a girls weekend!

Pricey Stay Without the Perks

Liked: Great location & beautiful interior
Disliked: - Staff seemed untrained and inattentive- Breakfast advertised as “included” was misleading — only coffee and a few pastries were available. We had to pay extra for a proper breakfast- Coffee and pastries were often empty and only restocked after repeatedly asking staff- Front desk staff couldn’t assist with calling a cab and simply referred us to use Uber- Overall service and amenities did not match the premium price point
