Banks is an elegant art hotel located in a fashionable district less than 3 minutes' walk from the Market Square. It features design rooms with luxury bedding and free drinks and tapas in the Banks Lazy Lounge and Daytime Café. This hotel offers modern rooms with a flat-screen TV seating area and coffee and tea facilities. A mini fridge is available on request. Each morning a healthy breakfast is served at your table. This breakfast includes freshly-baked bread a choice of meats and cheeses boiled eggs bacon yogurt fruit juice and unlimited coffee and / or tea. The lounge offers a casual setting for a drink in front of the open fire. From Monday to Saturday guests of Banks can enjoy a selection of free drinks and tapas in the lounge from 16:30 until 20:00. On Sundays the tapas are served from 16:30 until 17:45. A free bottle of water is provided in the guest rooms of the hotel. The Plantin-Moretus Museum is 328 feet from the hotel and the Groenplaats Square with tram connections is less than 5 minutes' walk away. Antwerp Central Railway Station is a 20-minute walk from Banks.

Good location for city centre

Liked: The complimentary wine and nibbles is very welcome on arrival (from 4.30pm). Easy walking distance from Grote Markt and the Cathedral.
Disliked: The room seemed quite noisy and I wasn't keen on the shower/WC arrangement being in a glass cubicle and the wash basin being outside of it.

Liked: We got an upgrade to a room with a stunning view and balcony and our very own sauna!
Disliked: It was perfect.

Stylish hotel near Brabo's monument

Liked: Very stylish room, comfortable bed. Not a great view of the brick wall of the courtyard garden but they close this at 8pm so I had no noise from the street at all at night. Ideal, really.

Liked: That when a safety issue with regard to using a bath not a walk in shower was raised, staff did reassign my accommodation to a room with a walk-in shower.
Disliked: Dust rats on the floor
