Banks is an elegant art hotel located in a fashionable district less than 3 minutes' walk from the Market Square. It features design rooms with luxury bedding and free drinks and tapas in the Banks Lazy Lounge and Daytime Café. This hotel offers modern rooms with a flat-screen TV seating area and coffee and tea facilities. A mini fridge is available on request. Each morning a healthy breakfast is served at your table. This breakfast includes freshly-baked bread a choice of meats and cheeses boiled eggs bacon yogurt fruit juice and unlimited coffee and / or tea. The lounge offers a casual setting for a drink in front of the open fire. From Monday to Saturday guests of Banks can enjoy a selection of free drinks and tapas in the lounge from 16:30 until 20:00. On Sundays the tapas are served from 16:30 until 17:45. A free bottle of water is provided in the guest rooms of the hotel. The Plantin-Moretus Museum is 328 feet from the hotel and the Groenplaats Square with tram connections is less than 5 minutes' walk away. Antwerp Central Railway Station is a 20-minute walk from Banks.

Perfect for business (and sightseeing)

Liked: Very nice boutique hotel just in the middle of the city. Perfectly located for buissness-stays and for sightseeing as well. Rooms are very nice.

Had a wonderful 3 night...

Liked: Great location, nice hotel, wonderfully helpful staff. Only wish it had been a shower instead of a tub as it was slippery. Also, as a woman, more hangers and a bigger full length mirror in the room. Very clean. Fabulous « apéritive » in the evening and great breakfast.

Excellent trip and hotel. Culture...

Liked: Room was fine, basic, clean and bright. Bottled water supplied each day, a nespresso machine and tea/coffee sachets.Public areas were comfortable and well appointed.Breakfast fine and plentiful. Very friendly reception staff.Very central location. Short walk to eateries and attractions.Highlight was the happy hour period which was excellent for complimentary drinks and nibbles.
Disliked: Can't think of any negatives. Busy at weekends so sometimes difficult to find a free table.

A very pleasant stay in...

Liked: The hotel is extremely well situated for the Cathedral, restaurants, main square and shopping area.Very friendly staff and we enjoyed the free drinks and tapas during happy hour. Breakfast was nice enough.
Disliked: If you like ultra modern you are fine here but we weren’t keen on the bare concrete and over spartan rooms.The chairs in the bar/breakfast area were awful, very difficult to get out of because of the splayed legs which screeched on the concrete floor every time you moved.The beds were too soft and springy for our taste.We had to move rooms because the room we booked said it had a table and chairs but ours had a desk with two little wooden stools
