Last experience

Liked: The comodity of the dinning/rest room, the new deco of the room.Very close of everything you need in the town.
Disliked: That was the second experience. The first was good, I could took a coffee in every hour of the day or night. This one is the last for me. A young unsupervised person saw that we had problem to open the door and didn't move to welcome us. The desk is in front but he was texting. We had some difficulty to acces the room and wait for 40min to set the problem. Solved because of the manager finaly arrived. Coffee and milk wasn't avalable like last time. It miss a light near the "makeup desk" mirror.

No free on site parking!

Liked: The biggest disappointment in 15 years of bookings across different countries around the world.
Disliked: The listing clearly stated that the hotel provides free private parking on-site. I carefully read the entire description, and in the Q&A section, other guests also asked about parking. The management clearly replied that parking is free and located on private property owned by the hotel. This was the only reason we chose this hotel — I absolutely did not want to leave our car parked on the street. It was the main and decisive search criteria for us.We arrived at 10:30 PM (the reception closes at 11 PM) and were told that the few parking spots on-site were already taken. The receptionist simply said I could park anywhere along the street. When I explained that we had specifically chosen the hotel because it stated there was private parking, she suggested I park on the sidewalk, directly in front of the steps, blocking both the entrance and the exit. I explained that this was completely unacceptable. She then gave me the owner’s phone number and left promptly at 11 PM. The owner tried to explain to me that because the parking is free, they’re not obligated to actually provide it. But by that logic, they wouldn’t be obligated to provide Wi-Fi or any other amenities listed as “free,” which are, in fact, included in the price.I was exhausted and asked if I could cancel the booking so we could go somewhere else, but she flatly refused. I had no choice but to agree to stay and told her I’d go look for paid parking. She checked me in. I tested the door and access to the room (I didn’t even enter it), and we left around midnight to look for parking. We searched for over an hour — there was nothing available. At around 2 AM, I called one last time, pleading to be released from the booking, but she again told me it was not possible. In the end, I had to drive all the way back to Ottawa at 2 in the morning. Now I’m left dealing with the stress and trying to get my $130 back, which is not a small amount.

Old post office delivers a...

Liked: This was an old post office converted to a hotel so had a kitschy charm. Breakfast downstairs was good. Free parking was available on the street. The bus stop was just across the street.
Disliked: Had to take the subway or bus to any attractions because we’d didn’t want to drive in the city with all the construction. Best not to walk in the area just north of the property, but street of the hotel is just fine.

Okay once problems worked out

Liked: Clean, comfortable, old manor style
Disliked: Parking not as advertised. They had 8 slots. The rest was street parking and you had to know which side to park on as it alternated. Everything was self service. All done online and codes to doors were texted. We had some delays and didn’t get there until 11. We communicated this with the hotel. Not a big deal as we already had the codes. But they had texted us the wrong room number and code. We couldn’t get in our room and staff don’t seem to be on site. It was hard to get a hold of them and hard to get them to understand what the problem was. Also not necessarily a negative just a piece of advice. There is air but not in your control. It was comfortable but not comfortable for me to sleep. I wish I would have had one of my travel fans.

Liked: The room is well situated and accessible. Parking is adequate, even though no facilities to recharge an electric vehicle are provided.
Disliked: The room is not suitable for work. The chair is too low (or desk too high) and electrical outlets are insufficient.

Poor

Disliked: The room doesn't look like at the picture, It was much smaller and dirty , everything was small and special shower (super small, you can't even fit there). The Reseptionist was excellent, but the woman who does breakfast just lay on the sofa and watched TikTok very loudly where we were all people were getting breakfast.
