Excellent location and breakfast facilities....
Liked: Excellent, well-stocked kitchen with all the utensils required to make meals. Room was comfortable and cosy. There is a recreational space on the rooftop with a fireplace and foosball table which made a cool place to hang out.
Disliked: Dryer function of the washing machine in basement didn't work so we were left with sopping wet clothes. Air-conditioning in the room didn't allow for temperature adjustment so the room was too cold. Staff attempted to help but issues weren't resolved during our stay.

A very good stay in...
Liked: The room was excellent, and the bed that gets stored near the ceiling is a very novel way of creating space whilst keeping the room tidy. The bathroom area, especially the shower, was very good, and soaps and shampoos were in abundance and the dispensers worked well. The bed linen and toweling were both great, and the room has block-out curtains and was lovely and quiet, and the centralized air-conditioning system worked well, and was temperature adjustable
Disliked: No one to open the door on arrival as the receptionist had gone out, and eventually a maid opened the door but could not speak English. Once in, we used the online book-in, but as the room was not yet ready, we were instructed to speak to a staff member ... after much miscommunication we were sent to a hotel up the road for assistance. The coffee machine was broken for our whole stay, and one morning there was no kettle in the communal kitchen for hot water. Lastly, the inner windows have been screwed closed, so no option of fresh air

Clean, comfortable and central…
Liked: Great location, close to the centre and a 12 minute walk to the train station. Rooms are small but as a solo traveller I had enough space. The bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The shared kitchen is a bonus. Food is provided for breakfast but you have to prepare or cook it yourself. Check in was quick and staff were friendly. I arrived early and my room was already ready!

It's a hostel
Liked: Staff, clean, all day coffee, sun deck
Disliked: Worse experience, this is not a hotel, it's like a hostel. There isn't a front desk. The self check in was disastrous. Fully paid. We still had to pay $150 damage deposit, no receipt from credit card terminal. Tried to continue self check in but the machine was out of room cards. Called attended at Red phone next to terminal who arrived 20 min later. Entering the room was a shock. After we booked they said it was smaller than most rooms, no kidding. I compared to other hotels close by at same range with breakfast included and those HOTELs had full service and 3 times the room size. Room was just big enough to place the bed that could slide up to reveal 1 draw in a bench and a collapsible table. NO closet. The bathroom had insects. Killed a dozen in the morning to find as many again in the afternoon. Windows are sealed shut. After our 3rd day and 70 dead flies I identified them as Drain Flies. Harmless to humans but disgusting. I covered all drains and overflows with a wet tissue to keep them out. BTW the walls smudged with them indicated other guests squashed them before our stay too. The facility has a wash-dryer, after 5 hours the laundry was still so wet, it had to be brought to the hotel next door to dry them.Don't get fooled by Breakfast included. They might Supply essentials like bread, butter, raw eggs and jam, orange juice but you have to prepare it yourself like you do in a hostel.Benefit is that you can make coffee (machine had great choices when it worked) and you may use the kitchen all day but you better shop for cheese or cut meats yourself. If you are French speaking you might notice you can apply for a 3 day bus pass if you stay 3 days or more. There are some nice benefits, like close proximity to old Town, though other hotels do too. But AtypiQ offered a communal sun terrace including a gas fire pit in the evenings and it was clean.
