Brilliant hotel, pity about the...

Liked: Brilliant hotel… lovely staff and breakfast was amazing… well worth the €15 per person… Lovely decor and room spot on…
Disliked: When we arrived there was substantial work being undertaken…. The main frontage of the hotel was covered in scaffolding…. Not brilliant really… I wish we’d have been informed about this and given a different hotel option….

Extremely disappointing. Unapologetic reception staff....

Liked: The second night when we got the room we booked.
Disliked: The first night when we were given a dowdy old room with frosted glass and no balcony as booked. We opted for a small room with a window which was old fashioned and worn. There was no apology offered. No refund given, only a free breakfast on one day. The staff on reception were frosty. There had been an email telling us that the facade of the hotel was being renovated, but no indication that this would affect room changes.
