Slightly disappointing, and not great...

Liked: Excellent location. Very big room with great view. Some very nice staff. Nice lobby to sit in and have a drink.
Disliked: Hotel is in the process of renewal and rebuilding. Understandable, but meant it looked rather tired in places, and we were woken at 7.30am one morning by room shaking from building works on other side of the wall! Room was big, but bare. Not the sort of top of the range cleanliness I expected (e.g., my plastic key card had someone else's sticky food and fingerprints on it, I discovered, and the carpet wasn't properly vacuumed). There was no explanation of services (e.g., the lovely fountain bar which we discovered by mistake, or the coffee-to-go service it would have been nice to know about earlier). As I say, understandable, and they have a renewal project.... but we were still paying top prices. In comparison, we had come straight from a similar class hotel in Berlin. Not so expensive, but much better.
