Hotel at Gare du Nord

Very good

Liked: location was close to transport, food outlets but area a bit seedy. Staff were excellent and a big part of this score due to their helpfulness. Rooms fine and clean facilities good too.
Disliked: Noisy at times especially if you are near the garden area and guests sit out talking beyond 12;30.

Liked: Much better than the online reviews on trip advisor. It might be pot luck with the room that is assigned. But our Superior room (003) was excellent. It was ground floor, facing the train tracks. It did not disturb us at all.
Disliked: The location is fantastic, for transport links. But the area, late at night, not as welcoming. You cant move the hotel, so for the price and quality, it was excellent.

Basic hotel but very comfortable...

Liked: Comfortable large bed. Room cleaned and bedding etc changed every day. Good air conditioning. Kettle for tea/coffee. Hairdryer provided. Extra pillows provided. Courtyard to sit out. Small indoor lounge with refreshments available. Close to Gare du Nord and Montmartre. Helpful staff. Good buffet breakfast.
Disliked: Room was very small although very comfortable. En-suite also very small but decent shower.
