Great location in a historic...

Liked: Location, cleanliness, and the art deco style

Nice but too hot in...

Liked: Nice Hotel. Nice. Modern facilities. Nice rooms.
Disliked: It was 30 degrees with no air-conditioning. The 3rd floor (no balcony) was baking. There are portable AC units the hotel should supply.

Liked: I always come to hotel Astoria with pleasure. beautiful and comfortable hotel in beautiful De Haan, smiling and professional personnel, attention to the customer, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast.

Charming hotel but near impossible...

Liked: Nicely renovated Epoque building with lots of original elements, beautiful stained glass, high ceilings in communal areas and friendly staff. Rooms where clean and room at the back was quiet. Noise insulation is good. Nice Rebul toiletries. Breakfast was lovely. The outside terrace is pleasant to have a drink.
Disliked: The hotel is not suitable for wheelchairs. When selecting this criterium, it’s still in the list at Booking. Because of the original doors and layout, not adapted to accommodate wheelchairs. We explicitely asked, and paid extra for a 25m2 room with wide enough entrances and doors but could not even get into the room. Entrance to the hotel is through the basement and we had to find our own way to get to the elevator. We managed and our stay was pleasant enough. Airconditioning would be a bonus. Room was very warm. Carpets not great.

Liked: A beautiful art deck building in the centre of a lovely resort. Rectangle and quality of the breakfast buffet was outstanding

Overall nice stay but at...

Liked: Hotel was nice and modern looking, staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, very good breakfast
Disliked: The whole hotel was not air-conditioned, which is something to be expected from a 4-star establishment, especially during the very hot summer months in a room underneath the floor. The shower head also seemed very dated, which meant the water was not flowing properly.

Disliked: I have a handicap which reduces considerably my motricity in some periods of the day:- access to the hotel is l ly possible if you can gociate a steep staircase of about six or seven steps, I must say that the staff to carry our luggag
