Hotel Astor Kiel by Campanile

Very nice stay, nice staff...

Liked: The rooms are big and very confortable, the bathroom is very nice!
Disliked: It was really hot on the 5th floor, we survived haha but I guess people who cannot withstand heat will hate not having AC during summer

Don’t bother better budget hotels...

Liked: Nothing was to like the hotel was run down and Kiel is a run down city
Disliked: The bed was uncomfortable only one pillow the room was on the 9th floor and smelled fusty moldy the duvet was stained on the inside the duvet cover the plug sockets were dangerous as the sparked when plugged anything in the staff seemed not to enjoy their job and looked very miserable the homeless boys outside looked more cheerful

very good location, if not...

Liked: I was there with my son (6 years old) for Kiel 2025 Woche. And booked it almost last minute. So the price for the hotel was very good as for this occasion. Breakfast was good!
Disliked: I would say it's 2-3 star hotel at most. runned down. but they are doing some renovations. Pillows were too big. And we could not open the windows, so it was way too hot. Since its very central location - parking is 300-400m away in mall. So quite hard to cary all the stuff from/to parking lot.

Convient at best.

Liked: Location. Close to the ferry to Oslo.
Disliked: Noisy, old, no AC in the room or building. Ongoing renovations in the building. No parking.

Liked: Very nice room. It was upgraded and newly renovated.

Don't stay there

Liked: The proximity to the city centre
Disliked: Every part of the hotel, its facilities, infrastructure, places to be, heat, edor, etc. Everything is horrible.
