Very nice and friendly place...

Liked: Rooms were comfortable size, well provisioned and decorated, modern and clean. Location could not have been better, with fast access to museums, restaurants, and other parts of the city - central location great for walking and Vijzelgracht tram & metro stop 3 min away. The street was also very quiet. The staff were friendly and professional, with one less than perfect exchange with night staff reported. Beds were quite comfortable.
Disliked: Although Booking.com site shows they arrange shuttle or taxi transport, they do NOT supply transportation TO the hotel, but report they will provide AWAY from hotel. This was inconvenient and strange. No breakfast was inconvenient, but "Bakers & Roasters" and "Locals" nearby opening at 8:30 and 8. No AC and thick comforter on bed means you were usually a little too hot or too cool.

My go to in Amsterdam,...

Liked: Location in quiet residential street with everything needed just around the corner, heaps of restaurants,trams to the Dam and Central Station. Family run and friendly. I had a single small room, no air con with fan, so can’t speak about other rooms. Otherwise highly recommended.
Disliked: No air conditioner in room

Liked: Friendly accommodating staff, clean room with balcony. They were happy to keep our bags secure on our last day and allow use of the facilities until our late flight home.It is on a residential street so not too touristy, just far enough to be quiet but close enough to be in the center in minutes with just a short enjoyable walk. Also just around the corner are bars shops amd restaurants if you don't want to travel into the centre.
Disliked: AC in the room would have been a bonus (it was very hot during our stay) but I suppose this is not always the case. No breakfast options but there are some limited honesy snacks and drinks, if this was extended to a better coffee machine and maybe some simple breakfast/snack options to compliment the lovely lounge/dining area. Maybe as simple as a list of local recommended food delivery options for those that want a night in.
