Hôtel Arvor Saint Georges

Hotel has seen better days.

Liked: Excellent staff (Very accommodating and helpful). I cannot express that enough. My room had a nice view and clean bedding... BUT ...
Disliked: BUT: This hotel is not up to a 4-star standard. I hesitate to give it a 3-star as its comfort and furnishing is so rough around the edges. As someone who constantly travels for the last 20 years, I feel confident is saying "gross".Having stayed in the area many times before at similar priced hotels, this was super disappointing. I should've stayed at another for same price on a better street, but I wanted to try something new. Bummer. From the moment I walked in, I noticed a torn and worn entry carpet, then scuffed walls, holes on both lobby sofas (photo attached), stained plastic furniture. Stains throughout the carpet in the room alongside, scuffed, and worn-out. The once quirky furnishings now feel mismatched and thrown together. The style scheme seems long abandoned. The armoire in my room looked like it might fall over. Hotel lacks many amenities, like mini fridge and coffee in the room (you have to order in and the phone doesn’t have a direct line). The room had a safe, but not large enough for laptop which is quite standard these days. There was mold in the corner (photo attached) of my window and lots of mildew on the bathtub glass, cracks and stained walls in bathroom. Floor lamp didn't work. Super unappealing and you just don’t feel clean when things look like this. I’m sorry to say this because the staff was amazing.
