Liked: Hotel Ansgar has a wonderful breakfast buffet, and when the weather is good, you can sit outside in an enclosed courtyard. The location is great for taking public transportation; it is right around the corner from an entrance to the Metro and from the main railroad station in Copenhagen, and there are lots of buses nearby.
Disliked: The only thing I don't like about this hotel is the location of the elevator. No matter which floor you are on, you have to walk up or down a flight of stairs to get to the elevator. This can be a little difficult if you have any mobility problems.

Liked: They have lockers where you can store your luggage, a great location and it's clean. Friendly staff.
Disliked: The mattresses on the bed are thinner ones and they might move around. The rooms on the fifth level have a slanted ceiling, so make sure you request another floor if you don't feel comfortable with those. Preferably before you get there.

Central hotel but with a...

Liked: The hotel is conveniently located close to the Tivoli park and within a 20-minute walk to the city center. There is also a metro station very close to the hotel which is also convenient. We enjoyed the communal lobby as well as the heated floor in the bathroom. One particular lady from the staff in the evening shift was very kind and helpful.
Disliked: Unfortunately our stay at Go Hotel Ansgar was much worse than expected. First of all the elevator does not stop on every floor, but in between, so you always have to climb a few steps up or down to reach your destination. On the first night, a wooden plank with nails fell off from our bed and in general the bed was not comfortable at all. The third bed was really narrow and as a result I was afraid of our kid falling at the floor. The worst thing though was the fact that upon check-in we have been asked to pay extra for our child even though we booked a superior double room which was the same as a triple room with exactly the same price, photos, room size etc. This incident happened around noon when we arrived at the hotel and until 21.00 pm that we returned in our room, the bed for our kid was not made up. We had to ask from the reception to make up the bed, which they finally did but without providing any towels. We asked again the next morning for towels but still nothing until the third day that we asked the cleaning lady straight and we managed to get the towels! The cleaning lady also threw away my face cream which I had in a sample container thinking it was a rubbish probably!In general, not a customer-oriented hotel at all and we also felt that they ripped us off for what they offered.

No I wouldn't go again

Liked: Location and the lady day front reception staff and the night front reception staff both lovely and helpful. I feel sorry for them both they would be so much better suited in a nicer hotel. Bed was also very comfortable.
Disliked: The people that tidy the room basically did zero. We had a collection of cups from coffee that were never taken. The bed was NEVER made. A fan that when we turned it on had so much dust on it I couldn't stop sneezing at closer inspection, the level of filth collected is years in the making. The spare pillow was stained and I would not sleep using that. Following this at check out when I made some suggestions to the man at front reception he chose to blame me than address what I was suggesting, quite intimidating for female travellers.
