Our favourite stay in ludwigsberg

Liked: This is our go-to accommodation in ludwigsberg every year.We plan to stay 1 night on our way through and return for a longer stay in a week.We've stayed in the "annex" across from the main building many times when we come over to see friends and family, so we know what to expect. Our annex room was recently renovated compared to our last stay and is really lovely. It felt bigger this time. The air-conditioning was welcomed, and being able to open the windows was also great. The roller shutters were great for blocking out the early light. Breakfast is always lovely. Check-in staff are very friendly. Free off-street parking directly under the windows was convenient.
Disliked: We have nothing negative for this stay. I'm looking forward to coming back and staying in a "comfort room" in the main building when we return in a week.

Disliked: The room was more expensive with no air-conditioning. The smaller rooms across the road in the annex are nicer, cheaper, recently renovated, and have air-conditioning.The breakfast was nice. However, the older lady managing the breakfast restaurant was not pleasant. She was efficient at getting people in and out so they could reset for the evening meal and always asked if we wanted scrambled or fried eggs as soon as we walked in before being seated. Very efficient. One morning, I arrived for breakfast 30 minutes before the service finished, and she was not happy I was there so late because they had already reset different table linen for the evening service. This made me feel unwelcome. The room photo didn't match the new photo, but after looking again on the website, it did match the older one, yet to be renovated. Car parking was an additional charge, but this was not shared upon check-in. Parking across at the annex if off street and free.

Perfect stop on the way...

Liked: We chose Goldener Pflug for a one-night stopover during our road trip and couldn’t have picked better. The hotel is in a peaceful, quiet area but still just a few minutes from the highway - perfect whether you’re heading north or south. The secured garage costs only 5€, which is much cheaper than many chain hotels, and it gave us peace of mind leaving the car overnight.We arrived late, but the staff had already prepared a key for us, and check-in went smoothly. Everyone we spoke to was friendly and very attentive. The room was clean, cozy, and well-kept, with everything we needed for a comfortable night’s rest. Breakfast the next morning was fresh and tasty, just enough variety to start the day right.Another nice detail: there’s an EV charger right in front of the hotel, which makes it a solid pick for anyone driving an electric car.
Disliked: The only minor thing: our booking confirmation mentioned air conditioning, but the room had a floor fan instead. Not a big issue, but something to note for very hot days.

Good solution for a one-night...

Liked: Very nice Hôtel. Good breakfast and good restaurant (according to German standard). Good solution for a one-night stay on our way to the French Alps.
