Superb
Liked: When we chose this hotel for 2 with 2 single beds we were a little bit scared because the room seemed really small but actually we were nicely surprised because even though it was kinda small the energy and the comfy vibes that we got from there was amazing. The bathroom was very clean and nice and we might got lucky because we had a nice view on the canals. There was a small coffee machine which i was a big fan of so I don’t really have anything to complain about ! Keep it up !

Solid spot to rest while...
Liked: Easy to get to and walkable to other parts of the city. Tram was also a quick walk away if you didn’t want to walk. Was quiet, and very economical. Good spot if you’re going to be out for most of the day and just need a spot to rest for the night.
Disliked: Thankfully I was on the main floor, but those stairs looked like not a fun time to traverse. But that’s with most places in Amsterdam! So not a deterrent, but would be more specific about how tight and steep they are.

Passable
Liked: The location is amazing, everything is walking distance.
Disliked: There's mold in the bathroom, the whole ceiling is covered in it. The ventilation is pretty bad and the bathroom is damp all the time. We were staying for 3 nights and the cleaning lady came only on the penultimate day (so no new coffee capsules also). The mattress is sliding around all the time, the wall art fell on us in the morning, since it's not secured properly. They key cards rarely work and the room door opens without a card, which doesn't seem safe. The mattresses are very stained and are so soft, that if you sit on the edge, it can slide right off the bed. The windows, if they open, don't really stay open. There's no AC and there's just a small fan to stay cool.

Clean room but too noisy,...
Liked: The room was very clean. The location is relatively central. A hairdryer was supplied. The staff were pleasant and helpful when we interacted.
Disliked: We stayed Saturday night. The room backed onto a nightclub, which was noisy ALL night with the clubbers outside talking and shouting (not music). At 5am, the club closed, and more people came out. By 6am, it had quieted down, but even with the few people left, the noise still carried. We had to have the windows open as it was hot, and there was no AC. The worst night I have spent in a hotel. The stairs indoors are very steep. I accept this is an old building, but I hadn't checked carefully, expecting a lift. The keycards didn't work easily. On our second night (thankfully our last), we had to have them reset. No staff at reception. They have to be called. The room was tiny. The wardrobe had 3 hangers. The suitcase rack was broken. Seeing as there were no staff on the premises and we were only staying two nights, we made do with what was there.

Liked: We liked the location
Disliked: While we weren’t expecting much from a rather cheap accommodation, seeing live electricity socket cables wasn’t in our list . That is a safety hazard . We had an open socket just above our bed . This made our sleep very uncomfortable as we were afraid of moving and experiencing any electrical shock.
