Liked: I stay at this hotel every summer with my kids on the way to our cottage. They love the pool and I have always enjoyed the location, value, staff and in general the hotel. I can tell you that things continue to go downhill for this place and at first thought it was bc I was given a less fancy room bc I was booking through an outside discount website, but everyone seems to be in the same boat. Rooms:The rooms need a good clean and a facelift (toilet cover that has been cracked in half and glued, large stain on bed skirt, black all around the caulking in the tub, toothpaste smeared on the front of the vanity, stains and marks all over the walls and ceiling, the furniture is all scraped and worn) should have taken pics, but didn’t think of it at the time bc I never leave reviews.Issues:There were no towels in my room upon check-in, which I was late getting my room…however I am not complaining bc we were allowed to use the pool while we waited. I went to the front desk to tell them I didn’t get any towels, I and was told there were none. What??! Apparently they were sent out to a cleaning service and would not be available until 9pm, which they weren’t. I never got towels, not a single one. Upon check in our room was 28 degrees, so I turned the AC on thinking no big deal bc we were going out for supper anyway. The AC sounded like a tank and by morning had only cooled the room 2 degrees. I am not a high maintenance person, I can make the most out of anything, but I would honestly just like to know what I paid $170 for?? Was it to swim in their pool bc that is one expensive swim. For the first time, I feel like I got ripped off and the staff could have cared less. Beyond disappointed
