Clean, calm and convenient

Liked: Just 15-20 minutes walk from the main station, and even though it is on a quiet street it is actually just 1 minute from the river front! The room was large and clean and I appreciated the water being topped up every day. Also - the hand soap had a beautiful scent!
Disliked: I could hear some neighbours chatting through the wall, but it wasn’t loud and they were finished by 10pm.

Great room and location, some...

Liked: (1) Just a minute's walk from the bustling waterfront and 10-15 minutes to the famed Long Street, the hotel is tucked away in a quiet, peaceful corner.(2) The fridge, whist small, is very quiet, unlike fridges in many 4-star hotels that buzz loudly enough to disturb sleep.(3) My room was a single and it was very spacious and comfortable, with a large bed, desk and chair, small table and tub chair, and luggage rack.
Disliked: (1) On Friday, the breakfast room had a gorgeous focaccia and baguettes of which the French would be proud. However, on Saturday and Sunday, only plain rolls were on display because bakeries were closed. And the selection at the buffet was pretty depleted by 9 am (2) The shower cubicle was small (which if fine) but had no shelf on which to put your shower items. Very inconvenient, and uncomfortable to bend to the base in such a small shower. Surely fixing a shelf to the wall can't be difficult! (4) Blackout curtains would have been useful.
