ideal location, modern facility

Liked: Great location, comfortable facility. Hotel allowed us to leave our luggage for a few hours after checkout. I locked my key in the room and they gave me another without hassle.
Disliked: Breakfast is ridiculously expensive, but there are plenty of other reasonable options in the neighborhood.

Great Location, good breakfast, good...

Liked: Room was a decent size, cleaned daily and plenty of complementary toiletries. Location was close to the River and a 10/15 minute walk to the heart of the old town (7 calles) and the same to the guggenheim. Breakfast was also good, lots of fresh fruit constantly replenished, too. You can also request a freshly made omelette or scrambled eggs but we didn't see the little signs explaining that until near the end of our stay unfortunately.
Disliked: The pillows in the room were hard and were just one long bolster pillow on each side of the bed. There were spare pillows in the wardrobe but these were like large square cushions and not easy to keep on top of the bolster pillow. There is a kettle in the room but some days no replenishment of milk or teabag's so not ideal given there was a kettle supplied. The room was also quite warm even though it wasn't that hot outside most days. We enquired about aircon as there is a unit installed in the room. We were told it is still winter (2nd May) so no aircon would be available and also controlled centrally too. There is a window which opens but it is to the main street and quite noisy. The pillows and the room temperature made it not too comfortable to sleep.

Liked: The one good thing is the location
Disliked: Our stay was far from satisfactory; exhaustion weighed heavily upon departure.The initial room had hairs everywhere, including on the bed, met with indifference from staff upon our request for another room. Though the other room was cleaner, it had a lot of shower mold. Despite this, we decided to keep the room because it was the last room with a single bed.The room was so hot that we couldn't sleep, and the staff said they only had centralized heating, not cooling. They gave us an old fan, but it made a lot of noise, so we didn't use it. We couldn't wait to get back to our own bed for some real rest.We expected a great hotel experience, paying €620 for four nights, but we were sorely disappointed. Basic amenities were woefully absent, including friendly staff, a clean room, a bathrobe, a first complimentary water, an iron, and air conditioning.The indifference extended to departure, with no one asking how our stay was, we will not be returning.

Disliked: there was an open water bottle in the fridge. the cap was on but it had been opened and the water replaced. It should have been removed for cleanliness reasons.
