Great venue for events, but...

Liked: The lobby, staff, coffee and breakfast were an absolute A+!
Disliked: The room, however was very musty and damp. It was clean, but had a musty smell and my allergies were enraged the next day.

Liked: History on property cute boutique motel.
Disliked: No elevator no coffee machine in room and was expecting live music as posted on website on Thursday Fri and Sat. No music at all .

Liked: Definitely a nice hotel. Spacious room with cool themes.
Disliked: It would be nice to have the coffeebar open a bit longer. Staff was very accommodating

Good value- a nice alternative...

Liked: Definitely a good solid hotel. The people want to support you! You see the hotel had/has a lot of potential, but perhaps time of year ( off season) it didn’t have a lot of energy. Place was convenient and quiet and very affordable.
Disliked: No real issues given the affordability.One suggestion- If you could pull the curtains closed ( in addition to the shade and that is already there , it would allow the room to stay completely dark in the am when those of us who are sensitive to any light.

Disappointing

Liked: Location. We could walk easily to the Foundry music venue for the Murray Attaway concert, which was excellent.
Disliked: Website appearance misleading. I expected, especially for the price, a grand old hotel. It was more like some disjointed hotel with a music venue in the mix. The rows of buildings looked exactly like any low-medium priced motel. The room had a decidedly odd decor that was not at all evident on the website. See photos. When checking out, we were told we had to pay a $12 parking fee for the parking spot. There is no where else to park!! We were not made aware of this when checking in. In fact, the very nice check-in lady gave us a parking permit! See photo.
