A gem of a hotel; prime location to get to many attractions; staff very professional; Bellman was courteous and very helpful - gave us a history of the Hotel which was wonderful; cozy lounge/restaurant for drinks; extremely accommodating with rainy day check out. We will be back and will highly recommend the Renaissance 57 to friends, family and business associates.

Liked: Welcoming staff; concierge; bedding; ambiance; location.
Disliked: Lunch service was very poor in the in-house restaurant - food very average; ordered coffee which was not available; the restaurant was not particularly crowded; staff did not appear to be confident or clear on who was to take care of our table; cob salad had almost zero lettuce.

Disappointed!

Liked: We have stayed here at least 6 times in the past 3 years, so the hotel is very familiar!
Disliked: 1. The price has more than doubled in 3 years, $360/night vs $150, including addition of a $45/night “facility fee” which was not charged previously! No idea what it is for as there are no facilities!! 2. The price is stated on the reservation to include breakfast. New management decided to get rid of it!! 3. Staff no longer very friendly and helpful.

Liked: Location and staff were great
Disliked: I didn't take too much off in the rating, because this stuff happens, but a pipe in the AC system broke and flooded my floor. Staff was great about moving me. Also, the ice machine is incredibly loud on floor 6 - probably the loudest ice machine I have ever heard in a hotel.

Liked: Staff, location, accommodation, help with taxi.
Disliked: The a/c was noisy.

Disliked: No breakfast. No Lounge. VERY slow elevators.

Convenient location in the heart...

Liked: The location is fabulous with plenty of food establishments, bars, and close to Park, Madison, 5th, 6th, Lexington Avenues. The Roosevelt Island tramway is only 450m away. Easy walking to Times Square (25mins). The bed was really comfortable. Spacious bathroom. Excellent storage in room with a wardrobe and another shelved wardrobe unit. The reception staff are really helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The Wifi was intermittent and slow.
