Disliked: Booking included breakfast but as the Hotel is un-manned, no-one to ask about this - The booking email mentioned a welcome booklet found in every room - not one in my room, this may have had the info I needed.After 7PM you send an email rather than call, still no reply to email 2 days later :-(

Very comfortable , would return...

Liked: Hotel 52 was very clean and comfortable, Pillows were rather lumpy. Though.Shower was spacious and lovely hot water.Food served at Rangos next door to the hotel was good . Potions were on the large side, but very reasonably priced.Staff were very friendly and accommodating.. Very well situated for visiting Beamish Museum..
Disliked: The hotel is built on a housing estate and being overlooked by bungalows around May put people off.Stanley itself doesn't have much to offer visitors. It seemed very run down.

Cheap and cheerful stay

Liked: Very friendly lady on reception, large room and bathroom. Good selection on the hot drinks tray.Handy location for Starbucks and Greggs.
Disliked: Nothing
