We won't use a Hotel...

Liked: The location for Beamish
Disliked: No running hot water. The plug in the sink let the water out. We had to leave the tap running for a wash - in cold water. The toilet seat didn't stay up, making it a bit difficult for us male members. The 'double' bed was 2 single beds pushed together, creating a dip in the middle. The furniture was cheap. No staff available but they had an email to contact them, but they didn't respond to our email query.

Disliked: The bed should have a mattress protector that fits that size bed it was a single bed protector on a double bed, mattress was horribly stained with just one sheet between me and mattress, in the end I slept on top of duvet with my coat wrapped over me.

While the room was comfortable...

Liked: Initial explanations by staff member at Reception was clear. The room was clean and tidy. The shower was good. The bed was comfortable.Food from the next door restaurant was good value but is apparently not part of the hotel, though it is attached to the hotel.
Disliked: 1. No hot water from the tap in the sink in the bathroom.2. TV could only be turned on by using the power plug at the rear of the TV.3. Once on, the TV controller would not turn the TV off or change to BBC 2. Other channels were available.4. The single chair was dangerous. All the legs were loose and very wobbly. Had it been sat on would have likely collapsed.5. No bulb in one of the bedside lights.6. Parking very limited. Street parking for most people.7. Nobody to complain to other than by making a phone call. No staff present.

Very convenient location for visiting...

Liked: Very comfortable bed. Off road car parking.
Disliked: There was no hot water from the bathroom tap. There was hot water however in the shower.There was no switch to put on what appeared to be a heated towel rail.

Liked: It was clean
Disliked: Location, size of bed was too small for an adult couple, too hot, too noisy - you could hear everything through the walls, breakfast was included in the stay but the restaurant didn’t open. We were told they didn’t know they weren’t going to open but all the literature on Ringo’s said it didn’t open Mondays and Tuesdays. We arrived around 6 and all the local restaurants stopped taking orders by that time and we ended up eating awful food in the McDonalds across the road as there were very limited options, all of which were takeaway.
