I booked a two-night stay,...

Liked: The only positive note is that they didn't charge me for the second night when I said I'd leave after the first.
Disliked: I don't understand how this hotel gets such high reviews: my experience was negative. Perhaps I was just unlucky with the room assignment? My room, a king studio, was on the third floor, just above the hotel entrance and overlooking a very busy and noisy street. The entire floor smelled of fried food, and the lighting in the common areas and elevators was practically nonexistent. The room was dirty, and the floor was sticky. The shower had mold stains and was smelly, and the sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable, the sliding door of the bathroom was broken. In my opinion, this is a hotel to avoid; there are much better options around NY.

Lovely, quiet stay in the...

Liked: My partner and I had a wonderful stay. We stayed on the 15th floor and couldn't hear any noise from the street. The tea/coffee services on the 2nd floor (6a-4p) were such a bonus. The breakfast set-up was different than I've had before - ordering from a 3rd party and delivered to hotel - but the food was timely and so delicious. There is also a rooftop bar with a fantastic view. Lastly, it is truly in the heart of Chinatown, so a tasty dumpling is never far. My partner and I had a blast, but I'm not sure that this hotel would be my top pick for families, as I didn't see any children over the four days. I would absolutely recommend this spot to other adult travelers!
Disliked: For myself, I do wish that the tea service was available 24/7 (for a late night chamomile). However, this isn't actually a problem!
